Our services are certified according to the DIN ISO standards:
- Implementation of a quality management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, including HACCP concept and contract logistics.
- Certification according to the internationally recognized environmental management system standard DIN EN ISO 14001:2015. Additionally, our climate protection efforts are certified according to DIN EN 14064 for greenhouse gas accounting and verification.
- Furthermore, certification according to DIN EN ISO 16258 for transport emissions in the transport sector, including CO2 footprint and CO2 shipment calculator.
- An information and network security system based on IT baseline protection according to DIN EN ISO 27001 has also been implemented.
Since 2008, we have been awarded the s.a.f.e. certificate in the area of general cargo and handling, demonstrating that our organizational, technical, structural, and personnel measures ensure a secure logistics site.
Also since 2008, the responsible authorities have registered us under the number DE AEOF100628 as an authorized economic operator (AEO), recognized for exceptional reliability and trustworthiness, enabling simplified customs procedures.
Furthermore, since May 29, 2006, we have been registered as a feed business in accordance with the Feed Hygiene Regulation (Article 19 (1) of Regulation (EC) 183/2005) with the Lower Saxony State Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (LAVES) for feed monitoring.
Hazardous goods handling is also a well-established part of our expertise. Since August 19, 2010, we have been certified by CEFIC (European Chemical Industry Council) in transport services according to their Safety and Quality Assessment System (SQAS). This standard evaluates quality, safety, and environmental compatibility of logistics providers.

Our guiding principles are based on our Quality Management System according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, including the HACCP concept and contract logistics, our Environmental Management System DIN EN ISO 14001:2015, as well as the CargoLine Information Security Certificate (ISZ) based on ISO 27001/IT Baseline Protection.
Our regularly audited and requalified management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 has become more practical and focused. In line with our approach, risk management has been given greater emphasis, and the focus is also on the organizational environment.

s.a.f.e. Certification
s.a.f.e. stands for “Protection and Action Association for Increasing Safety in Freight Forwarding” and is an industry-supported network of freight forwarders and logistics providers united to safeguard shared interests and optimize logistics security. We are supported and certified to achieve the goal of sustainable protection of logistics services by reducing risks of robbery, theft, and terrorism.
BHS Spedition und Logistik GmbH has been awarded the s.a.f.e. certificate for the general cargo and handling sector. This certification confirms that our organizational, technical, structural, and personnel measures meet the s.a.f.e. requirements for a secure logistics site.

Authorized Economic Operator (AEO)
Since January 1, 2008, companies established within the European Union and involved in customs procedures can apply for the status of Authorized Economic Operator (AEO). The aim is to secure the entire international supply chain from the manufacturer to the end consumer.
Effective December 1, 2008, BHS Spedition und Logistik GmbH has been registered under the number DE AEOF 100628 as an Authorized Economic Operator. This status recognizes the company as particularly reliable and trustworthy, granting special benefits regarding customs clearance.
Beyond the European Union, agreements exist under Article 38 (7) of the Union Customs Code (UCC) with Switzerland, Norway, Japan, the United States, and China. For example, due to mutual recognition between the AEO and the US C-TPAT program, we can offer our customers significant advantages for simplified trade with the USA.
