The status of Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) is a globally recognized certification that identifies businesses as particularly reliable and trustworthy within the international supply chain. Introduced by the European Union in 2008, the AEO status is intended to enhance the security of global trade from the manufacturer to the end consumer.

Since December 1, 2008, BHS Spedition und Logistik GmbH has been officially certified as an Authorised Economic Operator under the number DE AEOF 100628. This certification confirms our commitment to high standards in customs compliance, financial solvency, and reliable operations.

As an AEO-certified company, we benefit from significant advantages during customs clearance. These include simplified procedures, reduced documentation, priority treatment, and fewer physical inspections. This not only accelerates logistics processes but also strengthens our partners’ trust in our supply chain capabilities.

Internationally, the AEO status is mutually recognized by key trading partners. Under Article 38(7) of the Union Customs Code (UCC), agreements exist with countries such as Switzerland, Norway, Japan, China, and the United States. Especially through the mutual recognition between AEO and the C-TPAT program in the USA, our customers enjoy smoother and more efficient trade processes when exporting to the United States.
